After careful deliberation and
to remain compliant with
Virginia’s continued stay at
home order regarding COVID-19,
the XDA & VMP have made the
difficult decision to cancel the
MTC Engineering Summer Nationals
at Virginia Motorsports Park on
May 15-17th.
We know this news is very
disappointing, and all of us
feel the same. By making the
decision to cancel the event
now, we hope that you are able
to cancel or change your travel
and work plans with minimal
impact.
The May XDA event will not be
rescheduled. But the good news
is that we still have four XDA
events remaining on the 2020
Schedule on June 19-21 at MDIR,
July 24-26 at MDIR, August 21-23
at VMP, and Sept 18-20 at MDIR.
We are extremely grateful for
all of our supporters during
this unprecedented and
challenging time. We ask for
your patience and understanding
as we navigate these new waters.
With some states starting to
relax their stay at home orders
this month, we are more
optimistic that we will finally
be able to kick off the 2020 XDA
season at Maryland International
Raceway with the Fuel Tech
Superbike Showdown on June
19-21.
As of the writing of this press
release, track rentals are still
not permitted at Virginia
Motorsports Park due to
Virginia’s stay at home order.
But if Virginia changes their
policy to allow small track
rentals on the May 15-17
weekend, then VMP will give XDA
racers the first chance to
secure a testing spot for that
weekend. Details on prices and
testing schedule will be
released if and when track
rentals are permitted in
Virginia.
We will keep our current status
updated on
www.XDAracing.com so
you can verify our status at any
time.
